How To Make A Halloween Lantern with A Power Drill


         Last weekend, my husband and I made some Halloween lanterns, and this lantern made with a power drill was one of them. I'm going to share how to make this adorable polka dot lantern with you. :)

1. What You'll Need
How To Make A Halloween Lantern with A Power Drill

A fresh pumpkin
A power drill
Drill bits
A pumpkin carving saw
An ice cream scoop or a tablespoon
A knife
A sharpie marker
A measuring tape
Candles
A candle lighter




 2. Carve Out the Top
     Cut a hole on the top of your pumpkin with a carving saw. Make sure the hole will be large enough for your hand to reach through.

        Make a V-shaped notch at back. It will serve as a guide to replace the lid.

      Cut off the seeds and strings from the top.

3. Clean and Scrape
     Dig out all of the guts and seeds with an ice cream scoop.

4. Design
       Mark your pumpkin with a sharpie marker to make sure where you are going to drill.

5. Drill
         Drill your pumpkins. You can use different sized drill bits.

 6. Light It Up
       Place candles inside the pumpkin.
