Two Ways to Make Coffee Granita

This week, I made coffee granita, which is a semi-frozen Italian dessert. They were so beautiful and had gorgeous crystalline texture. :) I made two different coffee granita. The left one was made of strong coffee brewed with a French press, and the right one was made of espresso brewed with a stovetop espresso pot. Both tasted great but had different tastes actually. Obviously, coffee granita made of espresso had intense coffee taste. :) I'm going to share two ways to make coffee granita with you.

How to Make Coffee Granita ( Using French Press Coffee Maker)

 ■What You'll Need■
40g (8 tablespoons) of dark roasted coffee grounds (coarse to medium coarse)
 400 ml of water
 3 tablespoons of sugar

1. Put coffee grounds into a French press. Add hot water and wait for 4 minutes.

2. Put the coffee and sugar into a stainless bowl. Stir the sugar into coffee.

3. Place the bowl of mixtures on ice water.

4. Pour it into a shallow baking dish. Freeze it for 1 hour.

5. Take it out from the freezer.  Break up any ice crystals with using a fork. Put it back to the freezer. Repeat this step every 30 minutes until all of the mixture is flaky crystalline texture.
