Top 5 Life-Changing Japanese Beauty Products

Even though I have been living in the U.S. for years now, I lived most of my life in Japan. That's why I tried so many Japanese beauty products on a daily basis in Japan. I've introduced excellent Japanese beauty products that have a great number of positive reviews in Japan in my previous entries. (You can check out my entries, Best Japanese Beauty Products. ) When I lived in Japan, I found somethings truly changed my beauty routine. Today, I decided to share with you top 5 Japanese beauty products that might change your life forever. :)

1. Foaming Net
Foaming Net

Washing your face with plenty of lather is the most important tip for healthy skin. When I was 17 or 18 (so many years ago!), many of my friends started using a foaming net. I believe it just came to market back then. I didn't understand why they needed it because I could foam up facial cleanser without it easily. It's just a net! However, I finally decided to try it because everyone started using it. As soon as I tried this foaming net, I knew that I had been wrong! I was very impressed that it allowed me to create very thick foam very quickly with only tiny amount of a facial cleansing product. Since then, it has been my must have beauty item. I believe that most women in Japan use a foaming net now. If you have never tried a foaming net, I highly recommend this product. This small foaming net changes your beauty routine forever! :)

2. Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Puff and Sponge
Daiso Detergent Cleaning for Markup Puff and Sponge
This is the best makeup brush/sponge cleaner ever! As I mentioned in my previous entry, I used to use flat makeup sponge to apply foundation in Japan, and I used to think that I should replace it every month. It cost a lot of money to replace it (My Shiseido sponge was about $10 back then), but I'd never thought I could wash it instead of throwing it away. My sister recommended me to try this product. I was very surprised that my dirty sponge became completely clean! After moving to the U.S., I started to use more makeup brushes, and I wash them with this cleaner weekly. :)

3. Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
I tried so many types of makeup removers in Japan, and I found that oil makeup remover really removes all makeup including heavy sunscreen and waterproof mascara at one go. It also removes the stubborn pore cloggers. :) As I mentioned in my previous entry, I also tried more than 15 kinds of oil makeup remover products such as Kose Softymo and DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. When new ones were released and were on sale at drugstore, I tried anything at least one full bottle. I found that DHC and Kose ones are the best oil makeup removers I've ever used. Because Kose one is more affordable, I always purchase this when I visit Japan. I cannot live without oil makeup remover.

4. Panasonic Nanoe Hair Care Dryer

Panasonic Nanoe Hair Care Dryer
Panasonic Nanoe hair dryer sereies is the truly life-changing hair dryer. When I used Panasonic hair dryer for my first time, I was really impressed that it dried my hair faster and also really made my hair softer and smoother. It was pretty expensive but was the best investment! When I go to travel, I always take my own hair dryer to everywhere because I don't want to use a cheap hair dryer a hotel supplies which makes my hair frizzy.

5.Oil Blotting Papers
Oil Blotting Papers
I always keep oil blotting papers in my on-the-go makeup bag. Oil blotting papers are called aburatorigami in Japanese. Abura (油) is oil, tori (取り) is to remove, and gami (紙) is a paper. As its name, it's a just paper to remove oil from your face. When my face gets greasy hours after makeup, I just press it on my face. It absorbs oil, and my makeup looks fresh and clean again. :) My husband sometimes asks me if I have oil blotting paper because it also works as an eyeglasses cleaning paper.
