Sara Udon, Japanese Crispy Deep-fried Noodles with Stir-fried Vegetable And Thick Soup

Today, my husband cooked sara udon for lunch. Sara udon (皿うどん) is Japanese crispy deep-fried noodle dish topped with stir-fried vegetable and thick soup. It is a regional cuisine of Nagasaki prefecture in Japan. As you might know, udon (うどん) is Japanese thick white noodle dish, but sara udon (皿うどん) is a dish used very thin deep-fried noodles. Sara (皿) means a plate in Japanese, so the noodles of sara udon are served on plate while other udon dishes are served in a bowl.  You can cook sara udon with an instant sara udon set like photo below. It usually has two servings of deep-fried noodles and soup. If you find sara udon at Japanese supermarket, you should try it. It's so easy and delicious. :) You can check out my previous entry, How to Cook Sara Udon.
Instant Sara Udon
This time, he cooked kaisen sara udon. Kaisen (海鮮) means seafood in Japanese. He used frozen seafood instead of pork for today's sara udon. It was so delicious! :))
