2 Kyoto Limited Edition Lululun Facial Sheet Masks

As I mentioned in my previous entry, The Most Popular Facial Sheet Masks in Japan, Lululun facial sheet mask series have been very popular in Japan. As I mentioned in my yesterday's entry, some of their facial masks are only released locally.

If you travel Kyoto in Japan, you can find Lululun Kyoto exclusive facial masks at souvenir shops. You can also find ones at gift shops located in Kansai area such as Kansai Airport and Osaka train station. However, you cannot find these local limited facial masks at drugstores.

Today, I'm going to share Lululun Kyoto exclusive facial masks, Green Tea Scent and Maiko, with you. If you are planning on traveling Kyoto (or Kansai area), you should check these unique facial masks at souvenir shops there. :)

1. Kyoto Premium Lululun - Green Tea Flower Scent (京都のプレミアムルルルン - お茶の花の香り)

You might know that Kyoto is very famous for green tea. Specially, Kyoto Uji green tea (京都宇治茶) is high quality, and one of the best green tea leaves in Japan.

This Kyoto Premium Lululun Green Tea facial mask has Kyoto Uji green tea leaf extract, which makes your skin smooth. It has also green tea flower extract, improves your skin elasticity, and green tea seeds oil, moisturizes your skin.

2. Kyoto Premium Lululun - Maiko (京都のプレミアムルルルン - 舞子肌マスク)

If you have visited Kyoto, you might have seen a maiko (舞子) or people who dressed up like a maiko. By the way, I also dressed up like a maiko twice while traveling Kyoto. I was asked many foreign tourists (I was also a tourist though.) to take pictures together while walking around Kyoto.

Mokurou, Sumach Wax

Maikos wear heavy makeup, but their bare skin is very beautiful. This facial sheet mask is made from the secret beauty ingredients maikos use. It has mokurou (モクロウ), which is also called Japan wax or sumach wax and has been used by maikos to keep their skin beautiful. Mokurou protects your skin from dryness and improves your skin elasticity.

Sake Kasu, Sake Lees

This maiko mask also contains extract of sake kasu (酒粕), which is lees from left over from sake production. Specially, the sake kasu extract in this mask is from a traditional sake brewer which have been making Japanese sake for over 300 years. The sake kasu has glucosylceramide, which moisturizes and brightens your skin. Sake kasu is good for your skin and health. By the way, I sometimes eat homemade kasujiru, sake kasu miso soup. :)

・Use once a week.

Kyoto Premium Lululun Maiko Facial Sheet Mask has five packages of sheet masks. Each package has one sheet mask. Compared to Kyoto Green Tea one, Maiko one is more expensive, but it's high quality and you can apply it only once a week.
