14 Best Japanese Beauty Products I Purchased in Japan - Drugstore, Discount Store, Daiso and Loft Haul

         My husband and I traveled Japan this New Year's holidays. As I mentioned in my previous entry, 13 Best Japanese Products I Purchased on Amazon Japan! - Beauty, Kitchen and Stationery Items, I ordered some beauty items on Amazon Japan before flying to Japan from Los Angeles and picked up my items at a convenience store in Japan. I also purchased some Japanese beauty products at convenience stores and Muji in Japan.

        In addition, I also purchased more of Japanese beauty products at drugstores, discount stores and Loft while we were staying in Japan. Today, I'm going to share 14 Japanese products I purchased in Japan with you. All products I listed below are very popular and affordable in Japan. If you are planning on visiting Japan, you really should check them out. :) By the way, while I was shopping at the stores in Japan, I sometimes checked my blog to make sure if I was purchasing the right products, and I realized that I was doing what some of my readers did during their traveling Japan! ;)

  I have mentioned about Saborino in my blog many times. It has been incredibly popular in Japan these years and was ranked number one as the best facial mask award by @cosme, the largest Japanese cosmetic review site, last year.

   Saborino is an all-in-one facial sheet mask for morning skincare (facial cleanser + moisturizer + makeup primer). You don't have to wash your face before using it. As soon as you wake up, apply this facial sheet mask on your face for 60 seconds. Now, your face is ready to makeup. :) It's perfect for lazy girls.

     I purchased this Saborino Mix Berry Scent (5-Sheet Pack) at Loft in Tokyo, and I used it up while I was traveling Japan. Actually, I loved it so much. I loved the fact that I could finish my morning skincare in 60 seconds, and it kept my skin well hydrated all day long. I would like to purchase one again next time. :)

Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask was ranked number two as the best facial mask award by @cosme last year. Many people review that it has been very hard to find this facial mask in Japan. Because its explosive popularity, this facial mask is often sold out at many stores now. While I was in Japan for 8 days, I checked many drugstores, Plaza, Loft, Tokyu Hands and etc, but I only found this one at a Kokumin Drugstore. When I found it at the store, it was limited to two per customer indeed.

Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask contains Japanese beauty rice serum such as rice fermented liquid, rice bran extract, rice bran oil and rice ceramide.

My Beauty Diary Mask Black Pearl was ranked number three as the best facial mask award by @cosme last year. This facial sheet mask is Taiwanese cosmetic brand, but it has been very popular in Japan.

I purchased this one at Don Quijote, which is also called Donki and one of the biggest Japanese discount chain stores. I also used it while I was staying in Japan. Right after using this facial mask, I immediately noticed that my facial skin was brighter. It also moisturized my skin very well.

This one was the best makeup removing wipe I've ever used! In Japan, I was going to purchase a travel-size Biore makeup removing wipe, but I ended up purchasing this Bifesta Cleasing Sheet Bright Up because it was very affordable and has many positive reviews in Japan. It removes makeup easily except for heavy waterproof makeup. You might want to use eye makeup remover for removing waterproof mascara. I'm impressed that it removes makeup and moisturizes my skin at the same time! My skin doesn't feel sticky after that but well hydrated. :) According to Bifesta, you don't have to rinse your face after removing makeup with this wipe, and you don't even have to apply moisturizer because it's a all-in-one cleansing wipe (makeup remover + moisturizer), so you can sleep right after using this wipe. Although I wash my face and moisturizes my skin as usual after that. I highly recommend this one for anyone who wears makeup!

This Minon Amino Moist Charge Milk has been often won beauty awards in Japan, so I wanted to try it for my first time. :) Minon is a well known brand which makes skin care products for people who have very sensitive skin. Many Japanese beauty products are usually gentle to the skin as compared to US products. Yet, I believe that Minon is the most gentle skin care product in Japan.

As I mentioned in my previous entry, I wanted to purchase Shiseido Senka Perfect Oil Whip. I saw this makeup remover in some Japanese beauty magazines, and my favorite Japanese beauty blogger has recommended this one in her blog. This is oil makeup remover, but it comes out as thick dense lather. I cannot wait to try this one. :)

   I was not planning on purchasing a deep conditioning hair mask in Japan because I love Shiseido Tsubaki Hair Water and Shiedo Tsubaki Repair Milk I'm currently using. However, I found that this Shiseido Fino Hair Mask was on sale for only 645yen at the store! Because I used to use this one when I lived in Japan, and loved it so much, I couldn't resist purchasing it. ;)

As I mentioned in my previous entry, this Kanebo Kate Designing Eyebrow has been very popular in Japan. I chose EX 4 Light Brown one which is the most popular one in Japan, and some people review that even if you have black hair, EX 4 Light Brown is good on you. I really love this eyebrow powder, and it's perfect with my dark brown hair.

Nepia Hana Celeb is luxury Japanese facial tissue, but compared to the price of facial tissue in the U.S., it's not very expensive. :) Hana Celeb is extremely soft and smooth! It's more expensive than regular facial tissue in Japan, but high-end tissue is really popular for people who have allergies or cold. Indeed, this year, I watched Japanese TV news that high-end tissue is the hottest-selling product and is selling better than regular facial tissue.

Many stores in Japan sell Hana Celeb, but it was very hard to find this 16-pack one! Most stores carried only 4-pack ones.

I also purchased Elleair Zeitaku Hoshitsu Lotion Tissue, which is also Japanese luxury facial tissue. I only found a 4-pack one in Japan. Hana Celeb is high quality facial tissue, yet I thought this Zeitaku Hoshitsu Lotion Tissue is better than Hana Celeb! This facial tissue contains moisturizing ingredients such as glycerine, collagen and hyaluronic acid. If you are in Japan, you should try it. :)

Did you know that Japanese over-the-counter medicine is very popular for Asian tourists? Isn't it surprising? In my experience, any Japanese painkiller works well, but I don't know much about many Japanese over-the-counter medicine other than painkiller frankly. It's because when people in Japan feel sick such as cold and flu, they usually see a doctor, so when I lived in Japan, I usually took prescribed medicine because medical fee is affordable in Japan.

That day, my husband had light headache, so we purchased this one at the drugstore. It had 50ct of painkiller and only cost 380yen!

Bath Roman Hinoki

As I mentioned in my previous entry, Bath Roman is a famous Japanese bath salt brand. When I lived in Japan, I tried so many Bath Roman series and loved all of them. This one has cypress scent, which is hinoki no kaori (ヒノキの香り) in Japanese. Have you ever tried real hinoki bath in Japan? Some hot spring facilities in Japan have a bathtub made of cypress, hinoki. When you soak in hot water in a hinoki bathtub, you will notice natural cypress scent which makes you relax. As you can see the photo above, a hinoki bathtub is pictured in this Bath Roman. ;)

The lid is a 15g-measuring cup. You can add two to three cups (30 to 45g) of it for a regular bathtub. The powder has cypress scent. With adding this Bath Roman Hinoki in your bathtub, you probably feel like as if you were soaking in a real hinoki bathtub in Japan.
